Disney will pay Comcast nearly $439 million to take full control of Hulu after a lengthy appraisal process, setting the stage for a unified streaming strategy with Disney+ and ESPN.

After more than two years of haggling, Disney has finally closed its deal with Comcast to buy out NBCUniversal’s one-third stake in Hulu — and Disney is paying much less than it would have if NBCU had its druthers.

Disney will pay Comcast $439 million to fully acquire Hulu, ending a long-standing valuation dispute and strengthening its streaming strategy with deeper integration across Disney+ and ESPN platforms.
