This is the ninth time Budweiser has won USA Today’s Ad Meter competition, which is now in its 37th year. The rankings are the results of public scoring ads from 1 to 10. Budweiser’s ad scored 3.56. The scores of the top five ads, which are all between 3.49 and 3.56, are much lower than the 2024 rankings. Those ratings were above 6.

Through the years, the high-profile opportunity in America's biggest sporting event has produced some of the most memorable commercials in American history. Since 1989, USA TODAY Ad Meter has surveyed viewers live on Sunday and awarded an annual winner to the highest-rated commercial.

Budweiser's ad, titled “First Delivery,” was ranked first by over 173,000 voters. The commercial featured a Clydesdale foal rolling a lost keg through the hilly countryside to deliver it to a bar for patrons to enjoy.

Anheuser-Busch elevated Budweiser from a regional to a national 2025 Super Bowl spot after getting positive internal feedback on its spot starring a Clydesdale. Anheuser-Busch chief commercial officer Kyle Norrington told USA TODAY that "First Delivery" is the 47th Super Bowl ad starring a Clydesdale.
