Soldiers from Fort Carson are being deployed to the southern border to assist in the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection's efforts to secure the border.

The soldiers are primarily from the 4th Infantry Division’s 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Fort Carson, Colorado.
