Two years after its rebrand, HBO Max has officially returned. As it remains one of the best streaming services, the platform has gone through quite a few name changes over the years, and changed to Max in 2023 following WarnerMedia’s merger with Discovery.

Warner Bros. Discovery has settled on a date to reskin the Max streamer back to HBO Max: Early this Wednesday morning, according to streamer insiders. The flip won’t happen simultaneously, but customers will see “HBO Max” on the apps that formerly said “Max” across the streamer’s territories on July 9.

HBO Max is back. After a brief name change to Max, the streaming service has been rebranded, but one thing has remained consistent through it all: this streaming service has one of the best film libraries out there.
