Warner Bros. Discovery has settled on a date to reskin the Max streamer back to HBO Max: Early this Wednesday morning, according to streamer insiders. The flip won’t happen simultaneously, but customers will see “HBO Max” on the apps that formerly said “Max” across the streamer’s territories on July 9.

Max is returning to its former name — HBO Max — beginning immediately. Users of the streaming service, which is owned by CNN’s parent company Warner Bros. Discovery, will see the new-ish name roll out Wednesday, the company announced .
As of Wednesday, HBO Max is no longer Max and is back to being HBO Max, just on the Max platform. We know, it’s confusing. Either way, it appears that X (fka Twitter) is not playing ball with all of this back and forth — or at any rate, it has not played ball yet .
There will be no Dr. Collins in Season 2 of The Pitt. Tracy Ifeachor, who portrayed the character in Season 1, won't be returning for Season 2.
The news comes less than a week after the show aired the Season 1 finale, with “Duster” having originally premiered on the streamer in May. The series starred Josh Holloway and Rachel Hilson and hailed from co-creators and executive producers LaToya Morgan and J.J. Abrams.

HBO Max is back. The Hollywood Reporter reported on Tuesday that Warner Bros. Discovery would officially rebrand its Max streaming service to HBO Max on Wednesday, per a source familiar with the matter — and that change over is now live.
