Israel said it killed Hezbollah’s chief of staff in an air strike on Lebanon’s capital on Sunday, hitting an apartment building in an operation the militant group said crossed a red line.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun calls on the international community to intervene firmly to stop Israeli attacks on the country after a deadly strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs. Israel has said that the strike targeted the Hezbollah terror group’s chief of staff.

A delegation of Hamas officials travelled to Cairo on Sunday to discuss with mediators Israel’s ongoing violations of the ceasefire, according to Saudi media.
