CHARLOTTE, N.C. – At the 2021 Wells Fargo Championship, Bryson DeChambeau shot 74 at Quail Hollow Golf Club on Friday and made a quick exit to his home in Dallas, figuring he had missed the 36-hole cut. But mid-flight, he was informed that he was going to make the cut after all.
Following a few not-so-fortuitous final rounds, Bryson DeChambeau fought tooth and nail to avoid another at LIV Golf Korea. And that he did. DeChambeau fired a final round of 6-under 66 and reached 19 under for the tournament to fend off Crushers GC teammate, Charles Howell III, for a narrow two-stroke victory.
Bryson DeChambeau finally won his third LIV Golf Individual tournament on Sunday. The big day at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea was his first win since 2013’s LIV Golf Chicago. But along with the triumph came a big $4 Million check that marked a historical shift.
Yet, LIV Golf players have won two of the nine major championships since the league's inception (Brooks Koepka, 2023 PGA Championship and Bryson DeChambeau, 2024 US Open ). Jon Rahm won the 2023 Masters, but had not yet signed with the Saudi-backed league.
