Former NBA player Baron Davis made an interesting Cooper Flagg comparison ahead of the upcoming 2025 NBA Draft.

ESPN's Zach Kram proposed a trade down of one position, with the first overall pick going to the San Antonio Spurs for the second overall pick, the 14th overall pick, a 2027 first-round pick from the Atlanta Hawks, and Dallas gets its 2030 pick swap back.

On paper, the Knicks appear closer to championship contention. But Dallas has something New York doesn’t: Cooper Flagg. While the Knicks won’t make a selection until the late second round, the Mavericks are adding a player who hasn’t drawn this much hype since Zion Williamson.

Flagg is set to visit the Mavericks in Dallas on June 17 for a private workout and to meet with team personnel. The organization has indicated publicly and privately that it intends to select Flagg and has no plans to target any other prospect with the No. 1 pick on June 25.
