Michael Jordan will be a part of NBC's NBC coverage when the league returns to the network next season. We're still not sure exactly what that will look like. NBC only described Jordan's role as a "special contributor" in its announcement,

Along those lines, NBC took the public by complete surprise this week by announcing Jordan would contribute to its NBA coverage beginning next season. Fans immediately wondered whether Jordan would abandon his J.D. Salinger-esque streak and begin weighing in on the happenings of the Oklahoma City Thunder in January.

A six-time NBA champion with the Bulls and a six-time Finals MVP, Jordan spent most of his legendary 15-year career in Chicago, earning league MVP honors five times. He spent the final two years of his career with the Wizards and retired after the 2002-03 season.
