Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of U.S. men’s national team midfielder Johnny Cardoso from Spanish rivals Real Betis. The clubs agreed a fee in the region of of €30million (£25.5m; $34.8m) for the 23-year-old, who has signed a five-year contract at Atletico.

American midfielder Johnny Cardoso will join Atletico Madrid from Real Betis, both LaLiga clubs confirmed on Wednesday.
