A Winter Weather Advisory sparked by the incoming snow system on Saturday has been issued for a large swath of counties across Mid-Michigan and Northern Michigan. The advisory cautions of worsening driving conditions on Saturday. It runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 2:37 p.m. on Friday valid from 10 p.m. until Saturday noon for West Columbia River Gorge of Oregon above 500 ft, Clackamas County Cascade Foothills,

Meanwhile, a swath of the Central and Eastern U.S. was under winter weather advisory, which the NWS issues "for any amount of freezing rain, or when 2 to 4 inches of snow (alone or in combination with sleet and freezing rain), is expected to cause a significant inconvenience, but not serious enough to warrant a warning."
