The Let’s Play Ball campaign exceeded its goal of collecting 2,500 balls each for the Boys & Girls Clubs of both Long Beach and the LA Harbor.

The Press-Telegram and Daily Breeze are hoping get at least 5,000 donated sports balls for the Boys & Girls Clubs of both Long Beach and LA Harbor.

Hundreds participated in the annual New Year's event at Betty Brinn Museum, where children and parents celebrated the new year together.
