A man who raped women in two counties in 2008 before faking his death, fleeing the country and assuming a new identity was sentenced Tuesday to five years to life in prison.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah judge on Monday sentenced a man who appeared to fake his death and flee the United States to avoid arrest on rape charges to anywhere from five years to life in prison.
The 38-year-old, who faked his own death then adopted a fake identity in Scotland, was found guilty of raping two women in Utah.
