Dodge Teases The V8 Return That Might Not Happen
Everyone seems to be talking about how Dodge is supposedly going to bring the V8 back to the Charger lineup soon. Speculation about this comes from an interview Dodge’s new CEO gave recently, even though he confirms absolutely nothing.
Dodge CEO Strongly Hints at Return of V8 Dodge Charger
Dodge CEO Matt McAlear says "there will be powertrain variations to come" on the Charger and that a V8 is on the table if there's a business case for it.
New Dodge Charger might eventually have a V8 after all
In that interview, McAlear cited all of the engines the last-gen Charger had been made available with over its lifespan, from a 3.5L V6 to a 6.4L V8, and said this new car is underpinned by “a multi-energy platform that can accommodate all of that.” He added, “We’re just getting started. We’re going to have a lot of fun.”
