Florida lawmakers got their first tour of the new migrant detention facility in the Everglades called Alligator Alcatraz.Democratic lawmakers had been asking for a tour for weeks after detainees claimed there were "inhumane" conditions inside the facility.

Several legislators were appalled at what they saw. Others, like State Sen. Blaise Ingoglia, a Republican from Florida, countered that to him it was a well-run, safe facility where the living quarters were clean and the air conditioning worked well.
