Over 80,000 Southwest Michigan residents were without power on Saturday night, roughly two days after severe storms rolled through the area, according to online outage maps.

Over 250,000 customers lost power, with Consumers Energy reporting the majority of outages. Hurricane-force winds accompanying thunderstorms that swept across Michigan late Thursday night, May 15, and into Friday morning, May 16, knocked out power to more than 259,000 electric customers, mostly in southwest Michigan.
