House Republican leaders are scrambling to shore up support for President Trump's massive domestic policy bill amid pushback to the Senate's changes, as the GOP seeks to approve the final version of the legislation ahead of a July 4 deadline to get the bill to the president's desk.

“This is not a ‘big, beautiful bill’ at all,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., on Tuesday after moving to strike the bill’s name. “It is really the ‘big ugly betrayal,’ and the American people know it.”

The legislation now heads to the House for possible final approval, though a handful of Republicans there have already voiced opposition.
