Strap down the trampolines, it's going to be a windy day in Indiana, the National Weather Service said. A wind advisory was issued for most of the state until 10 p.m. Gusts are expected to reach 50 mph and winds from the southwest are expected to range between 20-30 mph.
STATEWIDE–Temperatures in Indiana are about to warm up. “Saturday, we’re looking at highs in the mid-30s. By Sunday, highs will be in the low 40s. Then as we get into the early part of next week, we could start exceeding 50 degrees in central Indiana,” said Aaron Updike, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
Scattered to numerous snow showers will continue into the afternoon. Any additional snow accumulation will be less than an inch.
Wayne County Emergency Management Agency is teaming up with Darke and Preble County Emergency Management Agencies this year to host the annual Weather Spotter Training.
Andrew White, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, believes after Thursday, the state will be done with snow for a while. “Yeah, this could be it until at least early March,” said White. There are some light rain chances for next week throughout Indiana.
