Back in 2018, when Rite Aid was planning to merge with Idaho-based grocer Albertsons, it sent out a notice for a special meeting for shareholders to approve the merger between the two companies.

Rite Aid is closing Idaho stores and selling prescriptions to CVS, Albertsons, and others. Customers can expect closures within months.
