The right-handed pitcher Phil Maton has signed a two-year deal with the Cubs, according to The Athletic's Will Sammon. Maton has already pitched for seven different MLB teams: Houston, San Diego, Cleveland, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Texas and the Mets. He has a career 3.98 ERA to go with 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings.
