It takes a lot to make Harrison Ford regret doing a project. This is especially true when it comes to the classic “Indiana Jones” franchise.

Harrison Ford is not too upset over "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" flopping at the box office. His fifth and final turn as the iconic archeologist opened in theaters in summer 2023 and lost Disney a reported $130 million after its global box office haul fell well below the $400 million mark.

“S**t happens,” said Ford. “I was really the one who felt there was another story to tell. When [Indy] had suffered the consequences of the life that he had to live, I wanted one more chance to pick him up and shake the dust off his ass and stick him out there, bereft of some of his vigor, to see what happened.”

Harrison Ford first played Indiana Jones back in 1981 and went on to play the beloved character in five movies over the course of four decades. His latest and final appearance in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny didn't seem to live up to the hype of the movies in the franchise that came before it.

Harrison Ford is adding another expected blockbuster film to his resume, joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in "Captain America: Brave New World."

Although many Indiana Jones fans were unhappy with the last installment, Harrison Ford has made his peace with the character. The Oscar nominee recently shared his reaction to Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny‘s unsuccessful 2023 opening after taking one last adventure as the titular archaeologist in the James Mangold-helmed sequel.

Harrison Ford doesn't care that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny flopped critically and commercially, noting that "s**t happens," and said he joined Marvel because it seemed like a "good time." The legendary actor of Star Wars fame told The Wall Street Journal Magazine that,
