US trading partners trying to navigate the final weeks of negotiations before President Donald Trump’s so-called reciprocal tariffs hit are facing a leader who has made clear he’s lost patience with talks.
President Donald Trump threatened to add a 10% tariff rate on BRICS-aligned countries. The term first applied to 4 countries but the group expanded.
"It will be very disappointing if the Brazilian episcopate fails to express its opinion against such an unprecedented attack," one activist said. "But the laypeople of the social pastoral ministries won't fail and will keep struggling.
So far only Britain has signed a formal trade agreement with the USA. At the same time, countries like Vietnam and the Philippines have been declared tariff rates of up to 20%.
