Jordan Beck ended Paul Skenes’ scoreless streak with a three-run homer in Colorado’s six-run sixth inning, and the Rockies beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-5.

Brenton Doyle hit a walk-off, two-run homer in a five-run ninth inning and the Rockies overcame a nine-run first-inning deficit to beat the Pirates 17-16.

And that was only in the fifth inning when the Rockies scored four runs to cut the Pirates’ lead to 15-10. By the end of the 3-hour, 37-minute scoreathon on Grateful Dead Night at Coors Field, the Rockies scored five runs in the ninth to win 17-16.
