The Kansas City Chiefs looked much like they have all season for the first three quarters against Indianapolis on Sunday. Their offense was stuck in a rut, penalties were piling up, and the reigning AFC champions' postseason hopes were growing ever dimmer.
Harrison Butker kicked five field goals, including the decisive 27-yarder with 1:57 left in overtime, to give the host Kansas City Chiefs a 23-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
While the Colts took the ball in overtime, Jonathan Taylor was stuffed on third-and-1 for a 2-yard loss, forcing a three-and-out. The Chiefs’ defense forced three-and-outs on each of Indianapolis’ last four possessions starting at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
