While the track originally debuted in 1977, Talking Heads teamed up with C’mon C’mon director Mike Mills to celebrate their live debut at CBGB on June 5, 1975. In the video, Ronan portrays a woman “unraveling while stuck in her daily routine.”

Psycho Killer is one of Talking Heads’ greatest songs. And despite being released absolutely ages ago, in 1977, the band has just pumped out a new music video for it. The video stars Saoirse Ronan going about her fictional day while looking increasingly like she’s losing the plot.

The Mike Mills-directed video is more American Psycho than full-on bloody murderer. Saoirse Ronan becomes increasingly agitated as she lives through the tedium of her white collar job and unfulfilling lifestyle.
