The Twins sent starting pitcher Chris Paddack to the Detroit Tigers on Monday afternoon, the first of what could be multiple moves ahead of Thursday’s 5 p.m. trade deadline as the Twins have fallen behind much of the American League in their quest for a Wild Card berth.

Detroit Tigers right-hander Chris Paddack has a 4.95 ERA with 27 walks, 83 strikeouts across 111 innings in 21 starts, all with the Minnesota Twins.

Minnesota shipped right-handers Chris Paddack and Randy Dobnak to Detroit in exchange for the Tigers’ 14th-ranked prospect Enrique Jimenez, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed. The Twins had been expected to be sellers at the trade deadline with six pending free agents this upcoming offseason, with Paddack among the list of them.
