Not back for the second season is patriarch Steven McBee, who pleaded guilty in federal court to a multi-million dollar fraud scheme involving federal crop insurance benefits he was not entitled to receive. He faces up to 30 years in federal prison without parole.

For now, Steven Jr. had to speak on it while he's promoting the new season. Steve Sr.'s absence is the elephant in the room for the McBee family, and while his future is hanging in the balance, it would be a bad look for him to continue on the show as if nothing was wrong.
