Scott McLaughlin walked away unharmed from a scary crash during Sunday's Indianapolis 500 practice. After notching Saturday's second-best qualifying time, McLaughlin pursued a repeat of last year's pole win.

Qualifying for the 2025 Indianapolis 500 got underway on Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Alex Palou posted the fastest time in qualifying with a speed of 233.043 mph, narrowly edging out Scott McLaughlin (233.013 mph) and Josef Newgarden (233.004 mph).
