Experts share key questions parents should ask about summer camp safety following the deadly Texas flooding that left dozens dead at a girls’ camp.

North Carolina, New Mexico and Texas have all suffered deadly floods in the last week after intense rain storms. Climate change is causing even more rain to fall during the heaviest storms.

At least 121 people are dead from the devastating flooding in the Texas Hill Country.Kerr County was hit the hardest, with at least 96 deaths, including 36 children. President Donald Trump signed a disaster declaration for the county and the Federal Emergency Management Agency is on the ground there.

This week in Texas, estimates put the number of people still missing from the Hill Country floods at 161, a daunting figure atop at least 120 deaths confirmed by authorities. But that missing person tally might not be as precise as it seems.
