The cut to Harvard’s federal funding was again linked to alleged failures to tackle antisemitism, and brings the total losses in recent weeks to over $2.7 billion.

Julia Marcus, a Harvard infectious disease epidemiologist and associate professor at Harvard Medical School, is one of them. She had three federal grants related to PrEP, a revolutionary medication that can reduce someone’s risk of contracting HIV, canceled in March.

The United States Department of Health and Human Services cut an additional $60 million in multi-year grants to Harvard over allegations of campus antisemitism and racial discrimination on Monday.
