The upcoming Avengers movies, Doomsday and Secret Wars, recently received a major update. The news comes by way of Captain America: Brave New World star Anthony Mackie, who offered some insight into the production process and hinted at who might appear alongside him.

The reality of “Brave New World” is that it’s a setup film, which is a thankless task. It’s meant to build to the reassembly of the Avengers and the subsequent release of “Avengers: Doomsday” in 2026. In the interim, Marvel Studios will release films and series setting up their return.

The result is one of the most tepid, uninspiring and frankly boring installments in the history of Marvel Studios. A bad script, uninspired acting and lackluster action sequences will do little to quell those wondering if Marvel will ever find its way again.
