Jannik Sinner provided one of his finest performances on the ATP Tour in the Rome Masters quarter-final. The home favorite toppled world no. 7 Casper Ruud 6-0, 6-1 in 64 minutes to march into the last four.

Ruud described Sinner's level as "close to perfection." Casper reflected on the match and admitted it did not feel that bad. He also stated it was fun to witness an opponent on a different level.

Ruud was supposed to be Sinner's toughest test in Rome since he came back from his three-month doping ban, as the Norwegian came into the match in hot form on clay after winning in Madrid earlier this month.
