A tech company CEO has resigned after controversy over a video captured on the big screen at a Coldplay concert.

LONDON—It started out as a routine bit of fun at a Coldplay concert: Lead singer Chris Martin asked the cameras to scan the crowd for his “Jumbotron Song,” when he sings a few lines about the people the camera lands on.

Coldplay's Music of the Spheres world tour was held at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, on Wednesday, July 16, and a camera scanning the crowd caught an awkward moment.

Coldplay brought the crowd to their feet, with everything from their newer synth-pop of “Music of the Spheres” to slower 2000s hits.
