The Michigan State Spartans were defeated by Iowa 20-17 on Saturday after Hawkeyes kicker Drew Stevens kicked a 44-yard field goal as time expired.

The Iowa Hawkeyes were down 17-7 to Michigan State in the 4th quarter but Iowa responded with 13 points in the final quarter to win the game 20-17. Drew Stevens kicked the game winning field goal from 44 yards out to give Iowa the win.

The Spartans dropped their eighth straight game despite another strong showing from their defense in the penultimate game of the season.

The Iowa football team pulled off a dramatic fourth quarter comeback as the Hawkeyes downed Michigan State 20-17 on Saturday. Drew Stevens solidified an Iowa victory with a 44-yard field goal as time expired.

Michigan State found another way to lose against Iowa, outgained 159-26 in the fourth quarter and, most importantly, outscored 13-0 as Iowa walked it off with a 44-yard field goal. “It's painful,” MSU coach Jonathan Smith said.

The Iowa Hawkeyes will be without two starters when they host the Michigan State Spartans at Kinnick Stadium in the season finale.
