Henry Davis hit a tiebreaking solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 2-1 victory over Philadelphia on Saturday after the slumping Phillies placed star first baseman Bryce Harper on the injured list before the game with right wrist inflammation.

Henry Davis has, unfortunately, become the Pirates' "other" No. 1 draft pick. As Paul Skenes continues to elevate to superstar status, Davis — the top pick in 2021 — is just trying to hold on to an MLB career. He's only played 118 career games, but hasn't shown much of anything in those games, posting a .193 batting averaging and a minus-1.4 WAR.

Isaac Mattson found himself in a precarious situation against the Philadelphia Phillies, but the Pittsburgh Pirates right-handed reliever was back in the big leagues and ready to embrace the opportunity.
