House Republicans successfully cleared their first hurdle for reconciliation on Tuesday afternoon after the entire conference voted in favor of a procedural vote on the contentious budget resolution.

Votes are expected Tuesday evening in the US House of Representatives for a Republican budget blueprint, but some Republican members could stop the bill in its tracks.

Rep. Jeff Van Drew said the President “understood” his concerns, which are also shared by a number of other Republicans.
