SACRAMENTO — It was a night to remember for the Guardians’ offense and right-hander Luis Ortíz. The Guardians’ hitters remembered how to keep the line moving and Ortiz remembered what it’s like to throw quality strikes, while limiting walks and hits.

Luis Ortiz pitched six shutout innings and Jose Ramirez and Steven Kwan each had three hits to lead the Cleveland Guardians over the host Athletics.

The Cleveland Guardians just got another glimpse of Luis L. Ortiz’s talent. The former Pittsburgh Pirates hurler has been inconsistent this season, but he’s been utterly dominant when he’s been in control.
