Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, tissue in hand, dabbed tears from his eyes Friday night. He was overcome with emotion minutes after his son, former LSU tight end Mason Taylor, was drafted in the second round by the New York Jets-- the team he played for in 2010.

For years, Jason Taylor mocked the Jets and their fans. It was hard to blame him — he was a Miami Dolphin lifer, a rival. He tormented the Jets during the prime of a Hall of Fame career, and he relished it.

The New York Jets needed a weapon for Justin Fields in the early rounds of the draft, and after tackle Armand Membou was taken in round one, LSU tight end Mason Taylor heard his name called at the beginning of the second round.
