Shane van Gisbergen is on the pole for The Loop 110 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on July 5 at the Chicago street course. SVG, making his first Xfinity start of the season, qualified early in the first group and posted a lap of 1:30.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's third annual NASCAR Street Race will hit the gas later Sunday, charging full speed into a second day. Fans will be back in and around Grant Park for this high-octane day of professional racing.

Since the inaugural event two years ago, the Cup and Xfinity series have been affected by inclement weather. After both series’ races were shortened by thunderstorms in 2023, the Cup Series ended 17 laps short of the full distance last year because of rain delays.
