The Packers couldn't get enough votes to pass their Tush Push ban, and Eagles fans were ready to celebrate — and rub it in their faces. Here's how they reacted.
Tushes will be pushed in 2025, folks. On Wednesday, NFL owners voted on the fate of the "Tush Push," the sneak play the Philadelphia Eagles popularized which basically involves the entire offensive line shoving quarterback Jalen Hurts across the line to gain a first down or touchdown.
It remains to be seen if the Las Vegas Raiders under Pete Carroll will try to utilize the "tush push" play this season. Geno Smith is an older quarterback, so they may not be keen on putting him in that position.
Salt-N-Pepa want to reclaim the rights to their recordings including “Push It” and “Shoop,” and they're suing their record label to get them.
There is clearly a big advantage for the Eagles. They succeed 87% of the time on the tush push. The rest of the league is at just 71%. That kind of efficiency is huge in short-yardage situations to keep drives going.

No one will admit that it’s going away because of the optics of the play. When pressed for reasoning, the league shifts the goal posts from safety to “it’s not football” to “pace of play” to whatever else can be fashioned with a semi-straight face.
