Washington — The House convened Wednesday to take up President Trump's Senate-passed massive domestic policy bill, to approve changes to the legislation ahead of a July 4 deadline to get the bill to the president's desk for his signature.

Republican Alaskan Senator Lisa Murkowski said Tuesday that despite voting in favor of the sweeping tax and spending package, she wants the House to return the "One Big Beautiful Bill" to the Senate for further work.

Lawmakers voted largely along party lines to advance the megabill, overcoming weeks of closed-door negotiations and internal disagreements.
