Forecasters are watching an area around Florida's Gulf and Atlantic coasts for tropical development during the July 4 weekend.

Heavy rainfall, strong winds, and localized flooding are concerns for eastern Mexico, particularly with the expectation of up to 45 mph winds at landfall.

We're also watching a threat area near Florida that could spawn a tropical depression over the Fourth of July weekend.
