What was already clearly a significant sell has turned into one of the most momentous days in memory for the Twins. Minnesota has agreed to send star infielder Carlos Correa to the Astros, sources tell MLB.

The Houston Astros are reuniting with their World Series champion shortstop Carlos Correa.

Carlos Correa is headed back to Houston. The Twins dealt the star shortstop to the Astros ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline, according to The Post’s Jon Heyman. Correa, who waived his no-trade clause, is expected to play third base with Isaac Paredes injured, Heyman reported.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are finalizing a deal to acquire right-handed reliever Brock Stewart from the Minnesota Twins, sources tell ESPN. Minnesota has used Stewart in 39 games this season and he owns an impressive 2.38 ERA across 34 innings. He has a 41/11 K/BB and is every bit as dominant as any other late-inning reliever.

A swingman who shuttled between Triple-A and the Dodgers in 2016-19, Stewart emerged as an excellent setup man with the Twins.

Meanwhile, the Twins have been one of the biggest sellers at the deadline this year. They traded outfielder Harrison Bader and closer Jhoan Duran to the Phillies, and sent starting pitcher Chris Paddack to the Tigers on Monday.
