FIFA's billion-dollar gamble to revolutionise club football begins a week on Sunday with plenty of cash up for grabs but questionable enthusiasm as 32 teams prepare to contest the expanded Club World Cup in 12 stadiums across the United States.

Pelé, Chinaglia, Beckernbauer, Alberto and the Cosmos brought soccer to life in New Jersey in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

The 32 FIFA Club World Cup™ teams will be divided into eight groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stages. Then we will have Round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals, before the winner of the final will lift the trophy on 13th July. It should make for a very interesting watch.
