Celebrating Afro Haitian culture in Eastern Cuba and the impact of the Haitian Revolution and the large migration of AfroHaitians in the 1800’s contributing the rich cultural depth of AfroCuban cultural music and dance practices. GAGA from the Oriente in Cuba is rooted in RARA in Haiti, a processional festivity taking place during Lent that merged festival with sacred arts. I was initially exposed to the AfroCuban Franco Haitian dances in the 90’s through my dance studies with @banrarra_company
