Family members of a 13-year-old boy believed to have drowned in the Kallang River were at the scene on Thursday (Feb 26) as search efforts entered a second day. The SCDF said it resumed operations at about 7am, after the search was called off on Wednesday due to low visibility. The boy, identified as Daniel, is believed to have been fishing with friends when he fell into the river and went missing. (Video: CNA/Marcus Mark Ramos) | CNA

The U.S. Navy Hid Its Submarines Behind This Tiny Shrimp During WWII. 🦐🌊 This is a pistol shrimp. It's smaller than your finger. Its claw snaps so fast it creates a shockwave that kills prey instantly. The sound hits 218 decibels — louder than a gunshot. During World War II, enemy sonar couldn't detect U.S. submarines hiding in pistol shrimp colonies. The ocean floor was so loud from the snapping, it drowned out the entire fleet. The Navy literally used nature as acoustic camouflage. 🔊 Sound
