This second attempt of patterning Glinda’s bubble dress had me pretty disappointed... It was so ugly and NOT right! With my previous 1/2 scale draping result, it seemed as if the Fibonacci spiral, as is, was working. So I cut all these panels as full size spirals and attached some structure — only to find that it had some major issues. Way too much fabric at the waist! It was back to the drawing board for my next attempt. | Bella Mae's Designs

✨ Update to the shape of Glinda's Bubble Dress ✨ So I was struggling pretty hard with the shape of Glinda's Bubble Dress and how the weight of the petals just crushed the petticoat. The dress my reference photos are from is 2012-2013 and at that time she didn't wear a hoop skirt under her gown, I've since decided I'm going off book and I'm mixing and matching parts of other bubble dresses to make mine better serve me. The tambour embroidery for the bodice on Glinda's Bubble Dress is complete!!! This took over 30 hours to do, a lot of that time was spent on hand sewing each of those individual sequins that are placed below the major sequin blocks. I didn't use tambour for those although I did keep them on the loom because the tension of the loom really helps with hand sewing as well as tambour embroidery. I plan to add more to the sleeves once I've actually sewn them up, but for now these will do. I also just
