At the Sarasota County Schools Workshop on October 7, 2025 Karen Rose brought up a letter that Tom Edwards had sent to Board Members. It quickly turned into a heated discussion and Tom Edwards deception was revealed. Apparently, Tom Edwards was going to have his own Board Meeting on the Monday evening before the School Board Meeting and planned on using the School Board Chambers
