This is an interview with Chieko Kojima one of the founding members of the Kodo taiko performing arts ensemble in Japan, filmed at the 鼓童 Kodo Village on Sado Island in the Sea of Japan. Chieko-san paved the way for women to play an equal role in taiko drumming, as well as created a dance style for taiko 20 years ago.
